Project Numazu · For Your Consideration
Campaign announcement · 4 September 2026
Aurora Studio is putting OMSI 2 Add-on: Project Numazu forward for consideration in The Game Awards 2026 Best Sim / Strategy category. This is an independent For Your Consideration (FYC) outreach campaign, not an official nomination or selection.
Project Numazu recreates the daily streets, local bus operations, landmarks and coastal atmosphere of Numazu, Shizuoka. We invite simulation media, journalists and content creators to explore our work, and we welcome continued coverage and constructive feedback.
We thank everyone who has supported Project Numazu since its commercial launch in March 2026. Independent production work on the Uchiura and wider Izu areas continues as part of our future direction. This does not constitute a confirmed Steam update or release schedule.

Development and free-update clarification
Editorial clarification · added 29 September 2026
Aurora Studio has not announced the abandonment of Project Numazu. Our official statement of 10 August 2026 outlined our intention to resume long-term updates, including work on N24, 長11, 沼71, 沼72 and 沼74, as well as further Numazu-area development.
Our studio is willing to prepare further improvements and aims to make future DLC updates available free of additional charge to existing owners, subject to the applicable publishing arrangements. This is a statement of our development intention, not a promise of an approved build or fixed release date.
As described in our earlier update workflow, new builds are intended to go through QA and community feedback before Steam distribution is coordinated with our German publisher, Aerosoft. Technical readiness and publisher coordination affect when an update can be released. No release date is confirmed at present.
We appreciate specific, reproducible bug reports and constructive suggestions. Please send product feedback to support@aurora-studio.org. This clarification reflects Aurora Studio's own position, and is not a statement on behalf of the publisher.
