OMSI 2: Project Tsing Yi

Status: Legacy Project (2017–2025)

Project Tsing Yi was Aurora Studio’s first large-scale attempt to recreate a Hong Kong district within OMSI 2. Covering the areas of Kwai Fong, Tsing Yi, and nearby routes, this project laid the groundwork for our later collaborations.

Although never released as a commercial DLC, Project Tsing Yi allowed us to experiment with authentic Hong Kong road networks, double-decker bus operations, and dense urban scenery.

Many of the lessons learned here directly shaped the workflow and standards used in Project Numazu, proving that even unfinished works can be stepping stones to international success.
