RoT Development Update: Shrine Paths, Graveyards, and Old House Interiors

Aurora Studio is currently developing new environment scenes for Revenant of Tsushima, a first-person Japanese folk-horror adventure game.
The latest development screenshots focus on three key atmosphere tests: a lantern-lit shrine path, a graveyard approach, and an old Japanese house interior. These locations are designed not only as visual backgrounds, but also as part of the game’s narrative structure and horror pacing.

Our goal is to create a world where the player feels surrounded by old memories, forgotten rituals, and quiet spiritual pressure. Lantern light, wooden walls, stone graves, shrine pathways, dense night forests, and silent tatami rooms will become important elements of the player’s journey.
Current development focus includes:
・Night lighting and color contrast
・Shrine and graveyard exploration routes
・Old house interior atmosphere
・First-person horror pacing
・Environmental storytelling and visual identity
